Street Poetry YouTube branding - 2021 to Present
I wanted to create a visual identity for my photography focused YouTube channel called Street Poetry. I wanted an identity that reflected my life experiences and passion for telling social justice oriented stories, and representing marginalized people through photography, as well as representing and branding the city of Toronto.
Process
- Started with writing down and sketching some ideas and themes for the channel, along with writing down the 'Why' and 'Who', and collecting some of my photography and other images for a mood board.
- Created sketches and vector designs for graphics to be used on channel.
- Created a style guide in photoshop with typography and graphics.
- Animated vector graphics in Apple Motion, and added to the first edited videos in Final Cut Pro.
- Promoted launch of channel on social channels using newly created graphics in a social friendly format.
- Launched channel with 3 episodes complete.
